Singapore Airlines appoints AVIAREPS as General Sales Agent in Poland

AVIAREPS Poland to become 7th AVIAREPS team to support the airline’s sales strategy

With immediate effect, Singapore Airlines has appointed AVIAREPS, the global leader in tourism, aviation and hospitality representation with 64 offices in 47 countries around the world, as General Sales Agent (GSA) in Poland. The appointment now makes AVIAREPS responsible for Singapore Airline’s sales activities in a total of 7 countries: Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Argentina.

Singapore Airlines, the national carrier of Singapore, flies to more than 130 destinations in 32 countries from its hub at Singapore Changi Airport. The airline is ranked tenth in the world for international passengers carried and is the world’s most awarded airline. It won the Skytrax award for the “World’s Best Airline” four times and was awarded a “5-Star Health and Safety Rating” by Skytrax in 2021. Singapore Airlines was the launch customer for the Airbus A380 and operated the first-ever flight with the largest passenger aircraft in October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney. The airline is committed to strengthening environmental sustainability through various measures, including a commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, as well as promoting the development, production and consumption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and launching an upcycling project, through which the airline provides parts and materials from decommissioned aircraft for upcycling and repurposing.

Poland is a very important market for Singapore Airlines. The airline currently offers connections from eight cities in Poland: Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Poznan, Rzeszow, Warsaw, and Wroclaw. From these cities, passengers can travel with feeder flights from partner airlines to Singapore Airlines’ gateway destinations in Europe and then onwards to Singapore and Asia.

In February 2022, Singapore Airlines Group posted a quarterly profit for the first time since the onset of the pandemic and reported a significant growth in passenger numbers. During Q4 2021 the airline continuously increased the number of destinations that it served and expects to serve over 70% of its total pre-Covid destinations by the end of the financial year.
