Virtual event connected 39 exhibitors and more than 500 regional buyers from the travel industry
AVIAREPS, the world’s leading sales, marketing, digital & communications agency for the travel industry, hosted the region’s first-ever 3D avatar virtual event for the travel industry in Southeast Asia on January 20-21. The AVIAREPS Southeast Asia Virtual Roadshow was one of the largest in the region since the COVID-19 pandemic hit over a year ago.

AVIAREPS virtual events provide a true-to-life user experience – the next best thing to a physical event. With customizable avatars, attendees can explore the virtual exhibition hall or attend presentations in the auditorium as they would in real life. At fully-branded exhibitor booths, guests and exhibitors can have one-on-one meetings, chat with one another, exchange business cards, download materials and more.

During the two-day virtual event, AVIAREPS introduced 547 exclusive buyers from Southeast Asia to the event’s 39 international exhibitors like Tourism Malaysia, Spain Tourism Board, Sarawak Tourism Board, Penang Global Tourism and Tourism Fiji, as well as other destinations, airlines, tour operators, attractions and more. In addition to the 1,645 pre-scheduled meetings, 5,431 chat conversations took place and 7,496 business cards were exchanged.
According to post event survey result, 99% of buyers & exhibitors were satisfied with the overall virtual exhibition while 100% of all exhibitors responded that they will definitely participate in such virtual roadshow again in the future.
