Predecessor Rainer Kothe joins AVIAREPS Supervisory Board
AVIAREPS, the world’s leading international representation, marketing and communications company for aviation, tourism, hospitality, and food & beverage brands, today announced the appointment of Heinz Knolle as its chief financial (CFO) and corporate affairs officer, effective September 1, 2019. In this role, Knolle will oversee the company’s financial strategy and operations, including investor relations and corporate affairs.
Knolle will succeed Rainer Kothe, who served as CFO, corporate affairs officer and deputy CEO at AVIAREPS for 25 years and helped build the company from an ambitious venture to the strong and successful international leader it is today. Joining the company in 1995 soon after it was founded, Kothe spearheaded its international expansion and diversification. As of September 1, 2019, Kothe will serve as a member of the AVIAREPS Supervisory Board.
Edgar Lacker, Chief Executive Officer, AVIAREPS said:
“We are pleased to welcome Heinz Knolle to this new role. Since joining our team two years ago, he has invested a lot of energy into refining our financial operations and will continue to grow that momentum as CFO and corporate affairs officer. This promotion comes at an exciting time for our company as we further prioritize growth, sustainability and diversification and we sincerely look forward to Heinz joining us on this journey. On behalf of the entire AVIAREPS family and especially our board members, we would also like to sincerely thank Rainer Kothe for the energy, passion and commitment he has consistently brought to the company.”
Knolle brings to his new role more than 15 years of experience in finance. Before joining AVIAREPS in 2017 as Head of Finance & Controlling, he worked at the consulting firm Roland Berger Holding GmbH, where he served as the Head of Global Accounting and Tax and Senior Vice President in charge of accounting and tax matters for the group. Prior to that, he held various leadership positions at well-known multinational corporations Siemens, KPMG and Ernst & Young, now EY.
Heinz Knolle, Chief Financial and Corporate Affairs Officer, AVIAREPS said:
“It is an honor to take the reins from Rainer Kothe. As a mentor, he instilled in me the passion that he has always brought to AVIAREPS and I am looking forward to upholding his legacy as CFO and corporate affairs officer as we shape the future of the company.”
