Precision Air expands partnership with AVIAREPS to Asia and Latin America

AVIAREPS to support Precision Air as GSA in China, Hong Kong, India, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay

Precision Air, a private Tanzanian Airline based in Dar es Salaam, appointed AVIAREPS as General Sales Agent (GSA) in China, Hong Kong, Colombia, India, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay. With the appointment as GSA in 12 new markets, AVIAREPS, the world’s leading international representation, marketing and communications company for aviation, tourism, hospitality, and food & beverage brands, is now responsible for the airline’s sales, reservations and ticketing service in a total of 28 markets in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Precision Air, established in 1993 as a private charter air transport company, operates passenger services to Nairobi (Kenya), Comoros and to various airports throughout Tanzania from its main hub at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. Precision Air was privately owned until Kenya Airways acquired 49 percent stake in 2003. In 2011, the company went public, changing its shareholder structure as follows: Kenya Airways holds 41 percent, a Tanzanian individual shareholder, Mr. Shiirma, holds 43 percent, and the public holds 16 percent. The airline currently has codeshare agreements with Etihad Airways, Kenya Airways, Hahn Air as well as several interline agreements to allow international passengers to connect to destinations such as Zanzibar and Arusha via Dar es Salaam.

In additional to the 12 new markets in Latin America and Asia, AVIAREPS already acts as Precision Air’s General Sales Agent in South Africa, Russia, Japan and 13 countries in Europe: Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
