Ho Chi Minh City location to serve the international travel market in Vietnam

AVIAREPS, the world’s leading international representation, marketing and communications company for aviation, tourism, hospitality, and food & beverage brands, has expanded its presence in the Asia travel market with the opening of its newest location in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Led by Deputy General Manager Giang Ha, the location will bolster the AVIAREPS network in the Asian-Pacific region, offering an array of services including representation and sales, digital marketing and communications, business development and more.

Over the past three decades, Vietnam has seen a complete economic and social transformation. Once one of the world’s poorest countries, it has quickly developed into a lower-middle-income nation. Thanks in part to a series of economic and political reforms known as Doi Moi, the economy has been rapidly growing, and in recent years, the country has joined the World Trade Organization and signed several free trade agreements. In 2018, Vietnam’s GDP grew by 7.1 percent and, according to the World Bank, it is expected to maintain a growth rate of about 6.5 percent over the mid-term.1

Vietnam’s outbound travel market is already showing strong signs of growth. In 2017 outbound trips reached 7.5 million and, according to Mastercard’s Future of Outbound Travel in Asia Pacific (2016 to 2021) Report, through 2021, the outbound travel market in Vietnam is expected to grow by 9.5 percent – the second-highest rate in the region. In 2017 outbound trips already reached 7.5 million.2
