Global Sales Manager Norway

AVIAREPS is growing and developing rapidly. We are looking for a new colleague to expand our Sales team in the Nordics.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and providing dedicated support to a focused portfolio of complex GSO accounts for Marriott Lodging brands.

 

Position Overview:

As Global Sales Manager - Norway, you will play a central role in maintaining and expanding business relationships with key buyers to achieve market share targets for all Marriott Lodging brands. You will lead Country, Global, and EMEA Accounts and work with Marriott's largest B2B customers across multiple segments including Corporate, Leisure, Airlines, TMCs, Groups, MICE, and Luxury. Your responsibilities include proactively recruiting both temporary clients and groups for all Marriott brands worldwide. You will maintain up-to-date client profiles in Marriott sales tools, create 12-month strategic account plans (SAPP), and provide weekly reports on confirmed business and activities. In addition, you ensure smooth coordination of the annual RFP process for assigned accounts in close collaboration with pricing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide dedicated support to a portfolio of complex GSO accounts
  • Lead country, global, and EMEA accounts
  • Manage Marriott's largest B2B clients across multiple segments
  • Proactively recruit transient clients and groups for all Marriott brands worldwide
  • Maintain current client profiles, create strategic account plans, and report business and activities on a weekly basis
  • Coordinate the annual RFP process for assigned accounts
  • Communicate and work to achieve goals, objectives, and targets set by stakeholders

 

Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • Excellent verbal, numerical, and analytical skills
  • Results-oriented with strategic planning and business development skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with proven results

 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to work with strategic vendors and partners to strengthen relationships
  • Proficiency in standard software applications (MS Office, Excel, SFA, Teams, etc.)
  • Independent learning and skill enhancement
  • Effective communication of financial benefits to clients
  • Gathering and analyzing information about clients' businesses and operations
  • Clear and persuasive presentations tailored to appropriate audiences
  • Meeting commitments and holding oneself and others accountable for results
  • Developing sales opportunity plans and achieving sales goals
  • Effective group and one-on-one communication
  • Generating enthusiasm for ideas, winning support from others, and negotiating persuasively
  • Identifying and acting on sales opportunities
  • Familiarity with competitors' strengths and weaknesses, leveraging strengths and countering threats
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Effective participation in both virtual and face-to-face team environments
  • Cultivating relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders in other parts of the organization

 

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Norwegian for effective business communication
