Director Aviation (m/f/d) - APAC
AVIAREPS has more than 30 years’ experience providing professional passenger GSA services and tourism marketing to clients around the globe. As the world’s leading GSA and Tourism representation organization with more than 70 offices in over 60 countries, AVIAREPS represents airlines as well as destinations, hotels, attractions, airports, cars, trains, cruise lines, retailers and import/export organizations, and offers a full suite of B2B and B2C services which includes sales & reservations, marketing, digital, and PR programs.
We are looking for a dedicated Director Aviation (m/f/d) - APAC, based in APAC (open to different locations)
Your mission:
- Development of the AVIAREPS’ aviation portfolio within its global network from and within APAC
- Develop and self-generate leads using numerous methods including cold calls
- Preparation and presentation of comprehensive and convincing client pitches
- Contract negotiation and incentive scheme development with new clients
- Client integration and implementation for multi-territory clients
- Monitoring of all airline representation activities in the region
- Strategic planning & regular reporting for top clients
- Guiding and coordinating the sales and marketing managers for our airline clients
- Responsibility for functional leadership and the development of our team
- Lead, manage and coach sales & reservations teams across APAC
Your qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years' experience in aviation in APAC, ideally in a leading role with personnel responsibility
- Extensive experience in new account acquisition and management
- Great network within the travel trade and airline industry
- Familiarity with all sales & distribution channels — MICE, leisure, marine, corporate, tour operators etc.
- Proven commercial track record
- Energetic, self-motivated, hands-on personality, willing to take initiative and inspiring their team
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, presentation and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Sales Force
- Excellent oral and written skills in English, other languages are a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally
- Good team skills, but also able to work independently
