Cargo Business Development Manager (m/f/d) for Latin America

located in São Paulo, Bogota, Buenos Aires , Santiago do Chile, Lima, Quito or Mexico City


The Cargo BD Manager will build and lead a team that helps grow our GSA Cargo portfolio. This position will implement effective processes to grow and market our client’s share and optimize account performance. The successful candidate will report to HQ and the COO Aviation.


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of the AVIAREPS’ aviation cargo portfolio within its global network from and within Latin America
  • Develop and self-generate leads using numerous methods including cold calls
  • Preparation and presentation of comprehensive and convincing client pitches
  • Contract negotiation and incentive scheme development with new clients
  • Clients integration and implementation for multi-territory clients
  • Monitoring of all airlines representation activities in the region
  • Strategic planning & regular reporting for top clients
  • Guiding and coordinating the Cargo sales team for our airline clients
  • Responsibility for functional leadership and the development of our team
  • Recruit, Lead, manange and coach our cargo teams across Latin America


Required Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Higher university degree or an equivalent qualified education
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Cargo in Latin America, ideally in a leading role with personnel responsibility
  • Extensive experience in new account acquisition and management
  • Extensive network within the cargo and airline industry
  • Familiarity with all cargo tools sales & distribution channels.
  • Proven commercial track record
  • Energetic, self-motivated, hands-on personality, willing to take initiative and inspiring their team
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English and Spanish ,other languages as portuguese are a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally , approx. 15%
  • Good team skills, but also able to work independently
