Namibia Ministry of Trade & Industry Trade & Investment Seminar in Dubai & Abu Dhabi

Namibia’s Ministry of Trade & Industry to organize a major Trade & Investment Seminar in the United Arab Emirates to market and promote Namibia’s investment and trade opportunities. The event dubbed Namibia Business Week, was held from February 21^st – 23^rd 2011 at various venues throughout Dubai and Abu Dhabi.  

The delegation from Namibia to the United Arab Emirates included;

• Minister for Trade & Industry and Ministry Officials
• Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water & Forestry
• Official from the Ministry of Fisheries & Marine Resources
• CEO Namibia Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NCCI)
• CEO Namibia Tourism Board and other officials
• Acting MD Namibia Wild Resorts
• CEO Namibia Development Corporation
• CEO Al-Dhahra Agricultural Company
• CEO Agribank
• CEO Trans Namib Holdings LTD

The objective of the Namibia Business Week organized by AVIAREPS Dubai was to promote Trade with Namibia as well as strengthen existing bonds between the two countries thereby encouraging Middle East investors to invest in Namibia.

AVIAREPS Dubai circulated over 80 invitations, via email, to the various Business Councils based in Dubai, which were then circulated to their individual members. Some of the councils who assisted with invitation distribution included:

• Dubai Chamber of Commerce
• American Business Council
• British Business Council
• Australian Business Council
• Spanish Business Council
• Swedish Business Council
• Malaysian Business Council
• Nigerian Business Council
• South African Business Council

AVIAREPS Dubai also circulated over 150 individual email invitations to other targeted Industry and Travel trade partners to attend the forum. Over 60 partners were in attendance.

AVIAREPS Dubai distributed a major Press Release to over 400 key media throughout the Middle East titled:   “Namibian Government & Trade Delegation to Hold First Ever “Trade & Investment Forum” in U.A.E - Minister of Trade and Industry Seeks UAE Partners for Development of Business Ties Between Two Nations-”.
