Chief Operating Officer Tourism

After graduating from his tourism studies, Thomas followed his itchy feet and left Germany to begin his international experience as Marketing Assistant with a leading tour operator in Los Angeles/USA.

After over a year, working in the US, Thomas Drechsler was ready for a new challenge and therefore joint the leading European tourism representation company “Mangum Management GmbH” in 1997, today part of AVIAREPS AG and known as “AVIAREPS Tourism”.

During his employment as “Sales & Marketing Manager” (1997 – 2004) and “Marketing Director Continental Europe” (2004 – 2006), Thomas was responsible for high profile tourism accounts, such as Las Vegas Convention & Visitor Authority, Hawaii Tourism Authority and NYC & Company. His excellent contacts within the tourism industry, his expertise, as well as his high level of dedication, are aspects that have finally contributed to his promotion as “Director Sales & Marketing Tourism International” (2006 – 2007) with AVIAREPS AG. Within this position, Thomas became an expert of the international tourism industry and was able to further develop his value to the company. Since the 1st of November 2007, he is COO Tourism and board member, and responsible for international tourism development and the supervision of the AVIAREPS Tourism network.

Thomas Drechsler is a passionate marathon runner and mountain biker. As a man with enormous discipline and ambition he doesn’t know problems, only challenges.
